I wanted to break away from it all
So, alone in this winter-chill
I took a stroll--
With the pen on hold, my heart
Quietly played with rhymes,
Brought out a romantic chasm,
And memories of past times.
I proceeded to walk.The Ocean let out
A roar. Soaked by the waters, my feet
Felt cold and soar.
Finnaly...I decided...under the reef
A quiet spot I'd choose, to dream
And recall our times and rendezvous.
As hours passed, restlessly I faced
The ferocious storm--
Your name erased from the sand,
My lips covered by foam.
Tired, I fell asleep,
But haven't felt the Ocean's chase,
Or the late rain turning droplets
To ice on my face.
It got dark. I got scared.
Exausted to turn the other-way...
The ~breakaway~ plan is not working--
Putting my life on 're-play...'
I wanted to turn back, and return, but
It was too late. I never thought I'd be
Stranded here:
By the wide-open sea gate.
