You're like the rays of hot sun in August...

today the air's less humid
the summer's heat less dense
drinking bottled water--
it's the same thing every day
I drive by your place in the morning
thinking...
can I see you per' chance

to me you're a bringer of love

yesterday our paths crossed
today--
I can put you on a pedestal
wait for the sun to divide the clouds
or love you through-distance
I can see in your eyes
'we can be more than friends'

did you hear our song?

you called--to ask: are you still alone?
can you come, for my eyes to admiringly
watch you;
the phone rings
my heart's screaming:yes
you came; we kissed...you drove away
and I can't catch you

it is now past ten...

I'll open the window to cool off
the room--
on my pillow to feel the star-dust,
sing you a song, keep company with:
the moonlight; with day light...
you'll be real again
like the rays of the hot sun in August.
