with this ring i do vow to keep my noble promise
a vow that all lovers one day hope to accomplish
to be yours until there are no more days left
to be yours even after my very last breath

i'll promise to marry you in due time
and have all our friends receive us in line
every face with a laugh, a grin and a smile
as you are guided down that long narrow aisle

with the gown of your dreams, long and bright
nothing can top this day, except that same night
it seems as though the whole town has been alerted
