I'm staring out my window
But I can't find 'the' star
You might be looking at the same sky
Even though you are so far

I remember the last time I was doing this
With you on my phone that night
I said, "Hey, we're watching the stars together"
You laughed at me but said, "yeah you're right"

We sat outside talking for hours
And even though we were miles apart
I felt closer to you then
I felt you creeping into my heart

I know I'm being kind of emotional
And that's just not like me
But I can't stand missing you like this
So, I need a star to wish you back to me.
