THUNDER

I heard the thunder in your voice,
but guess what...
my eyes of blue
don't look for the grains of sand blown away
by the stroms of yesterdays!
You thought I'd cry
for poetry and roses not delivered on time,
or the windows of my soul you left open and forgot
to shut again!
If you try to find out what the color of love is,
glance once more--
you'll find me sitting on a rocky shore.
