New Ways

Summer left his shoes at my door.
With a smirk it welcomed rain.
It also pinned a sign: Stay put,
And accept Autumn's new design.
When I woke up from the deep sleep,
I stood there heavy lids, half dressed.
As I tried to unpin the sign
I realized I was blessed.
I turned around the sign. It read:
Welcome change, and smile always!
When the wind stirs the water's high
Arrange for quietness, new ways.
On the tip of my tongue words are born.
They're all coming from above,
Or swimming with the waves below.
With salty taste they welcome love.
Love for seasons, sun's vague rays,
And the thick clouds in our days.
Let's look with happy eyes--
On everything this Earth displays.
