I saw my ex-boyfriend yesterday
my eyes were fixated on that boy
standing next to that blue car
but he wasn't wearing the same red FOX hat...
it was an Aeropostle one
I guess he's changing too...

His eyes were on me as we drove by
and my stomach began to slowly quiver
I loved that boy...

the boy who got in trouble with the law...
 the boy who was on anything illegal or prescribed...
  the boy who didn't get to graduate...

But it's also the same boy
who has a sparkle in his eyes...
a soft touch and a caring heart
even though he lied to me
and God only knows what else

I'm glad he was mine for a while
and that he gave me love,
just as i did him

Our eyes stayed connected
until my head couldn't turn anymore
then i lowered my head and felt the love we once had
...and the same thing happens every time we pass
